DOI: 10.33899/iqjoss.2006.32549

This research using the Karhunen loeve (KL) Algorithm and correspondence analysis algorithm for extraction the feature and find the region of interest in the sequences multivariate images by dimensinality reduction and then comparison by them to show whose method that give the best results. The potentials for use this method is illustrated through actual examples dealing with the study of chloride secrtion by airaway epithial cells for 21 bands. We can see that the multivariate analysis allow to distinguish dataset of multivariate dimensinallity at once, and discrbtit them for the relation by different information in the data.We show that the multivariate imaging can be register multivariate datasets for the high information that may be not appear and we must extraction.

DOI: 10.33899/iqjoss.2006.32623

Digital watermarks have recently emerged as a possible solution for protecting the copyright of digital materials. The use of wavelets in image coding has increased significantly over the years, mainly due to the superior properties of wavelets compared with the traditional transforms like the DCT.
In this paper a new wavelet-based watermarking algorithm is designed and implemented using the characteristics of an image and the human visual system HVS for invisibility and robustness. For experimental results, we have considered different attacks: JPEG compression, geometric distortions and noising. The results show the good performance of the new proposed method.

The idea of this project depends on programming the functions of DirectX under the environment of the windows, which will give a very large possibility to facilitate and speeds up the films, games, animations, and manages the messages.
In general, the graphics and the pictures needs a lot of computation power, and the Windows was suffered from the low speed as a result of dealing with the buffers of the memory of data to be displayed instead of dealing with the data itself, for this reasons DirectX being the solution for this problem, because DirectX directly deal with the buffers which contains data. For the above reasons it is necessary to develop programs that can works as an interface between DirectX and the windows.
The works focuses on programming the DirectShow function (formally called ActiveMovie), DirectShow enables the applications to play files and streams from various sources, including local files and remote files on network. DirectShow has native compressors and decompresses for some file formats.
To achieve the throughput necessary for streaming video and audio, DirectShow uses DirectDraw and DirectSound to render data efficiently to the system’s sound and graphic cards. Synchronization is achieved by encapsulating the multimedia data in Time-Stamped media samples.
This work shows the idea of displaying the image in a speed-up and sorted way, which will considered as a basic form for the animation, display films and playing games by cutting a part from the memory and put the image in it, then change the pointer for it, without needing to transform the image itself. Also DirectShow, shows the displaying of the sounds which is necessary for displaying the films. The Visual C++ language is used to make this work.

DOI: 10.33899/iqjoss.2006.32633

Today the method of determining the dimension is being applied to many kinds of observations, especially to time series in physics, engineering, and in fields as far apart as meteorology and neurophysiology. This paper has selectively surveyed some recent work in the vast and rapidly growing area on the behavior of the fractal dimension. We used the concept of dimension to distinguish between random noise and chaos , also to determine the order of Non-Linear Auto-regressive Model , finally it used to test the residuals of linear models

Fuzzy Regression Analysis with an Application

IRAQI JOURNAL OF STATISTICAL SCIENCES, 2006, Volume 6, Issue 2, Pages 61-48
DOI: 10.33899/iqjoss.2006.32575

This work investigates the analysis of fuzzy regression in case of the data being fuzzy or non-fuzzy. The analysis is performed by several methods , such as fuzzy linear regression (FLR) and modified one, and fuzzy linear regression with least squares (FLSLR), in which linear programming (LP) is used in the analysis.
Estimation of fuzzy parameters is carried out in case of fuzzy and non-fuzzy (crisp) data where the regression model is detected by fuzzy set theory.
These methods are applied on real data of Osteoporosis which are obtained by measuring the bone density of 30 patients (10 male and 20 female) by DEXA.
The results of the analysis show that, Tanaka model is better than fuzzy linear regression model (FLR) so that to avoid the appearance of non-fuzzy estimated parameters ,and . (FLSLR) is better than (FLR) in the sense of degree of membership of the model.

Suggested Methods in Ridge Regression

IRAQI JOURNAL OF STATISTICAL SCIENCES, 2006, Volume 6, Issue 2, Pages 85-106
DOI: 10.33899/iqjoss.2006.32582

Three suggested procedures were adopted to determine the value of biasing parameter (k) in ridge regression: 1-fragmenting the ridge trace to groups each group contain semi-homogeneous absolute values of the estimated parameters, 2-rotating over the axis of ridge trace, 3-the ideal value of k should be determined through many analytical stages.
A procedure was suggested to select the best variables to admit in the ridge regression equation. The augmented matrix and vector have had a significant importance in facilitating all analyzing processes.

Appling sensitive technique to hid digital watermarking in still images

IRAQI JOURNAL OF STATISTICAL SCIENCES, 2006, Volume 6, Issue 2, Pages 107-120
DOI: 10.33899/iqjoss.2006.32585

Digital watermarking is a new field of security, it is important in verifying from widespread digital information transmission techniques, it protects digital still images, video, or sounds from piracy.
Digital watermarking gives real owner the ability to check if a file is an unauthorized copy or if it has been modified without authentication.
Within development of digital watermarking technique, methods of watermarking attacks have been developed for deleting or modifying to improve illegal copying.
In this research, new sensitive technique is developed for hiding digital watermarking into a still image in a way that satisfied randomly hiding which includes every parts of image, to protect it from attacking.

Comparison among autocorrelation factor value ( ) in estimation of generalized least squares method

IRAQI JOURNAL OF STATISTICAL SCIENCES, 2006, Volume 6, Issue 2, Pages 121-135
DOI: 10.33899/iqjoss.2006.32589

This research concerns to find appropriate method among all the methods of estimation the Autocorrelation factor value , to get rid of Autocorrelation problem , among the random variable to gain the most accurate value which is studied in generalized least squares method .
Therefore, Mean squares error (MSE) scale has been used to compare the efficiency of all estimates in over all methods.
